Dr. Josef Veselka, Ph.D. attended medical school at Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic, and graduated in 1989. He is Professor of Medicine, Chief of Department of Cardiology, 2nd Medical School, Charles University and University Hospital Motol, Prague. His main expertise and interest are both in cardiomyopathies and interventional cardiology. He is one of the pioneers in the field of structural and coronary interventions. He has been published more than 300 scientific papers and edited 5 monographs and textbooks. He is a member of several editorial boards of medical journals

Xiushan Wu completed his PhD from Stockholm University in 1986-1990, postdoctoral studies from Michegan University and etc in 1990-1994 and Scientist in Karolinska Institute in 1994-2000. He is the Director and Professor of The Center for Heart Development, Hunan Normal University. His research focuses on understanding the mechanisms by which embryonic heart is developed using Drosophila, zebrafish and mice as models. He has published more than 350 papers including over 110 SCI papers.

Heart Development Studies

Prof. Ofer Binah is Chair of the Department of Physiology, Biophysics and Systems Biology, at the Ruth & Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Technion, Israel. Ofer Binah is a cardiac physiologist working for the past 33 years on research topics related to cellular electrophysiology, mechanics, signalling pathways and arrhythmias. In addition, Ofer Binah investigated the cellular mechanisms whereby cytotoxic T lymphocytes destroy cardiomyocytes in the course of heart transplant rejection and inflammatory heart diseases. Since 2001 Binah is investigating the functional properties of human embryonic stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes, and have published several papers in this area. Over 10 years ago Binah has begun investigating iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes generated from both dermal fibroblasts and keratinocytes, from healthy volunteers and from patients with inherited cardiac pathologies, including inherited arrhythmias and cardiomyopathies such as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Dr. Ellahham is a Board-certified internist, cardiologist and vascular medicine senior consultant and continues to care for patients. He received his undergraduate degree in biology and his M.D. from the American University of Beirut, Beirut, Lebanon. Dr. Ellahham did his fellowship in Cardiology at the Medical College of Virginia (MCV) in USA. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Ellahham worked in Washington DC in several clinical and leadership positions before moving to UAE in 2008. He led the First AHA GWTG Heart Failure Initiative outside US and was the recipient of the AHA GWTG Award in Wash. DC. He is the champion of the AHA GWTG in the region. Dr. Ellahham continues to be an active clinician. He is board certified in internal medicine, vascular medicine, cardiology and quality. He was recently recertified in 2017 by the American Board of Cardiology (ABIM). He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and key member in Heart Failure and Transplant, Adult Congenital and Pediatric Cardiology, Cardio-oncology and Peripheral Vascular Disease Sections. He is the Eminent Editor of The Journal of Cardiology & Cardiovascular Therapy. In addition, he serves on the editorial board of American Journal of Medical Quality, Developments in Clinical & Medical Pathology (DCMP), the Joint Commission Journal on Quality and Patient Safety, Telehealth and Medicine Today (TMT), Blockchain journal (BHTY), Medical Science, Open Journal of Cardiatic Research, UPI Journal of Pharmaceutical, Medical and Health Sciences (UPI-JPMHS, Open Access Research in Anatomy, Gerontology & Geriatrics studies and Open Access Journal of Clinical Trials, Hypertension Today Journal and Focus on Hypertension Journal. Dr. Ellahham has served as Chief Quality Officer for SKMC since 2009. In his role, Dr. Ellahham has led the development of a quality and safety program that has been highly successful and visible and has been recognized internationally by a number of awards. As Chief Quality Officer and Global Healthcare Leader, Dr. Ellahham had a focus on ensuring that that implementation of these best practices leads to breakthrough improvements in clinical quality, patient safety, patient experience and risk management.

Dr. Ellahham is an avid researcher; his research includes heart failure, acute coronary syndromes, second victim phenomenon, innovation, digital healthcare solutions, telemedicine, block chain, patient experience and engagement, lean six sigma, safety, bowtie risk management tool and KPI management. He is a recognized world-leader in these fields. He received several research awards including the DuPont Pharmaceuticals Research Award, ACCP 58th Annual Scientific Assembly, Young Investigator Award; the Alfred Soffer Research Award, ACCP 58th Annual Scientific Assembly, Finalist; the First Young Investigator Award 12th, Annual Meeting of the Mediterranean Association of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, and the American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines Award.

Dr. Jose M Zuniga was appointed President of the International Association of Providers of AIDS Care (IAPAC) in 1999. Prior to his appointment, he served as IAPAC's Vice President, charged with advancing the association's medical education and technical assistance initiatives. He lectures at several academic institutions; has been published in various journals; has authored thematic chapters for four books and edited three books: The HIV Pandemic (Oxford University Press [OUP], 2006); Decade of HAART (OUP, 2008) and Advancing the Human Right to Health (OUP, 2013). He is Editor of the Journal of the International Association of Providers of AIDS Care (JIAPAC). He is an IAPAC Trustee, and a member of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee. He is a member of the American Public Health Association and the National Hispanic Medical Association.

Nidhish Tiwari completed medical school in New Delhi, India and moved to the USA to pursue his medicine residency and chief residency at Jacobi Medical Center followed by the fellowship in cardiology from Montefiore Medical Center, both under Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Bronx, New York, USA. He has been trained as level III Echocardiographer which implies mastery of novel and innovative cardiac imaging techniques. He is currently working as Assistant Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and is also an Associate Director of Cardiovascular Service at North Central Bronx Hospital at Bronx, New York, USA. He has been given many awards for teaching medical students and residents. In a short period, he has been endowed with fellowships in prestigious organizations such as FACC (American College of Cardiology), FASE (American Society of Electrocardiography) and FACP (American College of Physicians). He has published many peer-reviewed manuscripts, reviews and a book chapter. He is also on editorial board of many journals and involved in planning committee of the annual scientific meeting of New York chapter of American College of Physician (ACP). His expertise and interests include valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy and newer techniques in electrocardiography.

Deepak Puri Is Founder Chairman of Cardiomersion, a global promoting integrated approach to comprehensive cardiac care. He has keen interest in Off Pump Coronary Revascularisation, minimally invasive cardiac surgery and regenerative therapy with 65 publications in reputed national and International Journals including a chapter in a book. Having presented more than 100 papers in conferences across the globe, he been invited faculty in several International conferences and organized more than 200 workshops as well as several International Conferences promoting an integrated approach, innovative techniques, promoting new technologies and exchanging skills with experts across the globe. He has worked as assistant professor in Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research Chandigarh, Additional Director CTVS at Fortis Healthcare, Director CTVS at Max Healthcare and has been visiting surgeon at University of Maryland Baltimore, Swedish hospital Seattle as well as Leipzig Heart Center Germany.
